Braised Pork Rice using a Rice Cooker
・ 200g pork belly
・ 1 boiled egg
・ 1 tbs. sugar ★
・ 1 tbs. sake ★
・ 1tbs. mirin ★
・ 2tbs. soy sauce★
・ 2tbs. water ★
・ 1tsp. ginger ★
・ Spinach (Boil and soak in water. Cut into strips 3-4cm
wide.)
・ Japanese green onion ( slice into thin strips)
・ Karashi mustard
・ Rice
■Steps
1. Cut the pork belly into small pieces.
2. Put the pork belly, ★ into heat resistant plastic bag and massage the meat. Add boiled egg and massage. Make sure to seal the bag tight.
3. Place rice, water and the bag from step 2 in a rice cooker and cook.
4. Serve with rice, spinach, green onion and mustard.
